Safe Rooms in Police Stations 2024
Three safe rooms to create a comfortable environment for interviews related to Domestic and Family violence have been painted and furnished, with a play centre of toys and games for young children. The Police Stations are Redcliffe, Mango Hill and Deception Bay. Before and after photos are below, and more to follow from the launch and thank you ceremony held at D Bay 9/1/2024. Guest speakers were Claire Moore (Brisbane United Nations) Lawrence Ezedinma. Cr Karl Winchester, and Redcliffe City Band of the Salvation Army played. Thank you everyone who attended and participated to make this a memorable morning.

Held at The Komo, Redcliffe our Orange Activism Breakfast marked the start of 16 Days of Activism Against Gender Based Violence. Guest Speaker was Simone Brown, who spoke eloquently of her experience as a survivor of DFV. Over 100 guests attended.

International Women's Day Afternoon 5th March 2023
We held an afternoon tea IWD at The Komo to celebrate the occasion. To mark Zonta Rose Day, each guest received a yellow rose to take home.

Zonta/United Nations Flag Raising Ceremony 10th December 2022
Our Club approached Moreton Bay Regional Council Mayor Peter Flannery in June 2022 to discuss holding a Zonta & United Nations Day Flag Raising Ceremony, to mark Human Rights Day, with support from the Zonta Club of Toowoomba.
The day was very successful and we hope to make this an annual event. Thank you to Mayor Peter Flannery, Cr Sandra Ruck Div 5, Cr Karl Winchester Div 6 for supporting this initiative. Also our gratitude to guests Michael Connolly, Talosaga McMahon, and Claire Moore from UNAA

DV Breakfast 25th November 2022
To launch the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender violence, we held a breakfast with Natalie Hinton, the founder of the Tara Brown Foundation. She spoke movingly of the effects of domestic violence on her daughter, Tara Brown. Our new video campaign consisting of a 1 minute DV awareness video was also debuted at this event.

Queens on Parade Fashion and Afternoon Tea October 2022
A fun afternoon was enjoyed by all with entertainment including a Queens on Parade competition and Queen Trivia challenges. Fashions by Portofino provided the fashion parade, and Scarborough Bowls Club completed the afternoon with a delicious grazing table .

Held at The Komo. We installed our board for 2022-2024. Lt Governor Lyn installed the board for 2022-24. We honoured member Sandra to commemorate her 40 year membership of the Zonta Club of Redcliffe. Several other members received Length of Service Certificates ranging between 25 and 10 years. Our gust Speaker was Helen from the MATE By 0stnader program (Griffith university). We were pleased to have Sandra Ruck and Karl Winchester from MBRC present as they both support our club. We also welcome the President of our newly established Golden Z Cub USC Moreton Bay, Cherie.

A Red Rose foundation initiative, the red benches placed in the community in conjunction with MBRC aim to start the conversation around domestic violence. It was slow progress but after 10 months our Zonta Redcliffe Red Bench is finally complete! We thank Div 5 Cr. Karl Winchester and Div 6 Cr. Sandra Ruck for their support in co-funding the bench along with our club.
