Zonta expands opportunities for women and girls through our local and international education programs and service projects. We shall not rest until women’s rights are recognised as human rights.

Zonta Club of Redcliffe Inc was delighted to present the winner of our Young Women in Leadership Award 2025 to Charlotte Duce from Grace Lutheran College, Rothwell and an encouragement award to Tashvi Goundar from Mango Hill State High School recently.
President Dawn, Advocacy Chair Marie, and YWLA committee chair June attended assemblies at each school.
Charlotte’s career goal is to become an agricultural vet, ultimately working with a worldwide charity organisation to create sustainable farming systems in a third world country, enabling self-support. She has a record of participating in a variety of educational charities benefiting developing countries. Charlotte demonstrates a mature understanding of gendered violence and inequality in both education and workplace.
Tashvi is a keen STEM student and mentor, college captain, UQ Science Ambassador and is planning a career in medical sciences as a sonographer. She recognises the negative effects of social media particularly on girls and launched the EmpowerHER program at her school a a means of addressing her concerns.
Congratulations to both Charlotte and Tashvi.

Zonta Says NO to Violence Against Women 2026
Club President Dawn and Treasurer Lee presented $3000 worth of grocery cards to CADA (Centre Against Domestic Abuse) located in Caboolture and servicing the Moreton Bay area. The cards directly benefit women who have fled domestic and family violence situations in emergencies and are used to purchase essential grocery items for themselves and their kids.
Our club has raised this sum through various fund-raising activities locally and is giving back to our community. |
